EPA received a works approval application from Wannon Region Water Corporation (WRWC). The application proposes to upgrade the WRWC sewage treatment plant in Elliot Street, Warrnambool.
The upgrade to the plant is needed to increase capacity to manage demand for sewage and wastewater treatment until 2040.
The public submission period has now closed.
EPA is holding an online community conference to discuss public submissions about the application. The conference will be in two parts:
- an online forum which will be open for comment Monday 20 July – Thursday 30 July (4:00 pm)
- a live online event on Wednesday 5 August at 7:00 pm.
Please note that no final decision regarding the works approval application will be made at the conference.
