What it contains

This technical guideline helps you measure and control the noise made by wind turbines.

In Victoria, noise levels need to be checked and managed properly as the wind energy facility (WEF) is:

  • built
  • operational.

It also explains the rules and standards to keep noise from wind turbines within legal limits.

This guideline is for anyone involved in building and operating a WEF, including:

  • consultants
  • noise experts.

It is also useful for government authorities, environmental auditors, and anyone who is concerned about wind turbine noise.
