This protocol will apply from 1 July 2021. It sets out the method EPA will use to calculate monetary benefits resulting from non-compliance with the amended Environment Protection Act 2017.

A draft of this document was published for comment on the Engage Victoria website in September 2019, as part of a proposed package of subordinate legislation. No material changes were made to the draft.
