This guideline will assist operators in the siting, design, operation, rehabilitation and aftercare of landfills exempt from licensing. Detailed implementation dates are outlined in the guideline. This version replaces EPA Publication 1563 to update references to the Environment Protection (Scheduled Premises) Regulations 2017 and to update the exemption criteria for municipal landfill facilities occupied by a municipal council and serving less than 500 people, and other minor reference updates.
