About the permissions register
This register allows you to find information about permissions, exemptions, authorisations, designations and Better Environment Plans (BEPs) issued after 1 July 2021. You must have a permission such as a licence, permit or registration to perform activities that may cause harm.
Please note that the public registers on our website update once a day, overnight. This means there may be a delay of up to 24 hours before the information is accurate.
How to search for permission decisions
You can use this register to search by statutory instrument type, activity, duty holder or suburb and status. You can also search by the statutory document ID, if known. To narrow your search, combine search fields such as permission type and status.
A search will give you details of:
- permission/statutory document ID
- start and end date
- status
- location
- activities
- duty holder name
- any conditions that may apply
- waste information associated with the permission.
- if the statutory document is available for download (if it is not available, email contact@epa.vic.gov.au to request a copy).
If you’re looking for historical licences, please email contact@epa.vic.gov.au with your request.
