- Background of offence
Landfill Operations Pty Ltd plead guilty to five charges of contravening a condition of their licence, with the offending period between January and November 2021. The contraventions related to exceeding the permitted tipping face size, failing to cover the waste and failing to report non-compliance with the licence. In total there were 18 offences detected which were rolled up into 5 substantive charges of contravention of s 27 of the EP Act 1970 and s 63(1) of the EP Act 2017.

s.332 - Restorative Project Order:
The accused is ordered to pay $40,000 within 60 days to the Brimbank Council to carry out the Bon Thomas Grasslands Nature Places Project.
The accused must provide a person nominated by EPA confirmation of payment of the $40,000 within 7 days of the payment being made.
