If you’re passing by the Swan Hill Community Tree in Campbell Street on the morning of Thursday 26 October, why not stop and have a chat with Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA)?

Officers and staff from EPA’s North West Region will be on hand to talk to you about any aspect of the environment and EPA’s role in protecting it.

“A lot of people know about EPA’s work in regulating against pollution, but some might like to know more and how we help ensure industrial and demolition waste goes to an appropriate location,” EPA Victoria North West Regional Manager Dr Scott Pigdon said.

“They may not realise what we do to regulate noise, not just from industry, but also from entertainment venues. Or that many of our officers are trained to literally sniff out odour problems.

“The work of EPA touches many areas of the environment that people are passionate about and want to know more. So, if you’re in Campbell Street on Thursday morning, 26 October, stop say hello and let’s have a chat in the shade of the Community Tree.”
