- Background of offence
- An EPA investigation into Midland Environmental Services Pty Ltd revealed industrial waste was deposited on a property near Kyneton. EPA inspected the Pipers Creek property after receiving a community report and found a range of waste deposited, some of which had been covered with soil to create mounds. Waste included building and demolition waste, tyres, scrap metal, cardboard, putrescible waste and drums of liquids including waste tar and oils. The site was not licensed to accept those categories of waste.
