Remediation of the Lemon Springs site is progressing well, with waste continuing to be removed and disposed offsite. Waste removal in 26 of 32 sites has been completed, with the remaining six sites suspected to contain acetylene cylinders.

Backfilling of the remediated areas is now occurring with soil that has been treated onsite.

More than 20,000 acetylene cylinders have been excavated from the site. These cylinders are being temporarily stored safely onsite until appropriate treatment and/or disposal is available.
