The cleanup works at the alleged illegal waste dump in Lemon Springs are continuing to progress, with more than 1,200 tonnes of waste now removed from the site.

Groundwater testing was conducted in March, with results due in the coming week. Planning is underway for additional groundwater wells to be installed on the site to monitor perched water quality. EPA will keep the community informed on the results of these throughout the project.

EPA visited Kaniva earlier this year to talk to the community about the project and the impact it has had on the town. You can listen to some of these conversations in our latest update video.
