Parks Victoria maintenance dredging at Werribee River mouth will start on 15 May 2024 and continue for 2-3 weeks. Sand will be deposited on the north east side of O’Connors Road drain that intersects Werribee South Beach. Avoid contact with the water if dredging activity is observed.

PFAS risk assessment on fish in Maribyrnong River

EPA has conducted a risk assessment on levels of PFAS in fish caught from the Maribyrnong River. As a result EPA recommends anglers don’t consume fish caught from the Maribyrnong River upstream of Solomons Ford in Avondale Heights to Deep Creek at Bulla, and within all of Arundel Creek.
